Jon has driven and led the Proudfoot Global Natural Resources practice for much of his 30 year career. Like all Proudfoot senior executives and their teams, he is hands-on and client facing much of his time. Whether that is working at site in Oyu Tolgoi or Kazakhstan, he supports Proudfoot and our Client teams in value creation across the price and life cycle of their commodities and assets. Jon is passionate about changing the current consulting dynamic, to ensure Consultants are a catalyst for change and contributing to organisational agility, growth and sustainability. He believes clients engage with consultants to: deliver high value outcomes; develop the capability of client teams; at a reasonable fee; with a solid return. He also knows clients buy lasting change and as such focuses equal value on behavioural and technical change. Over the past ten years, Jon has championed the development of Proudfoot Natural Resources sector, focusing on bringing industry-specific experience, knowledge and expertise to the challenges client’s and the industry are grappling with. In leading his teams, he relies on both his personal experience of having led client engagements as well as his industry insight, to achieve significant client results spanning change in culture to cash. The Global Natural Resources practice services clients in Mining and Metals, Building (Construction) Materials, Energy, and Oil & Gas, across their value chain, from exploration to production.
Cay Mims | Vice President, Natural Resources

As Managing Director Natural Resources, Americas, Cay brings her expertise to the business development and delivery side of our Americas Natural Resources business: Mining and Metals, and Building Materials. In her strategic role, she also works with Proudfoot’s leadership team to develop and align practice capabilities with the needs of our clients. A geologist by trade, she has more than 20 years of mining, investment banking and consulting experience in exploration and project development, mining and process operations, and project finance and management consulting. Cay’s commodity experience includes base metals, bauxite, coal, diamonds, gold, industrial minerals, platinum group metals, silver and uranium. Her clients consist of top-tier global mining companies, as well as mid-tier and emerging producers from all over the world. Over the course of her career, she has worked in Australia, Africa, the Americas and Asia.
Helder Santos | Natural Resources

Managing Director Natural Resources, EMEAA



As Managing Director Natural Resources, EMEAA, Helder is responsible for business development and delivery of our projects in mining and metals, building materials and energy across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Helder has global experience in more than 100 client companies. He has been responsible for identifying improvement opportunities for major organizations and designing business solutions to deliver significant financial and operational transformations. His projects have included ensuring safe and predictable operations, increasing throughput, enhancing maintenance effectiveness, lean mining, conducting solution based coaching, and improving supply chain management and organizational change capabilities through leadership and people development. Helder has a degree in Chemical Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Management, and speaks fluent English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.

As Managing Director, Americas and member of Proudfoot’s Executive Team, Phil leads transformation efforts in diversified manufacturing, automotive, heavy equipment, and transportation. Phil works with organizations that are typically looking to simplify lead to order, order to deliver operations, standardize business processes, or improve supply chain performance. He focuses on solutions designed to unlock people’s potential, develop workforce capabilities and foster active management behaviors that deliver measurable results. Proven track record of over 20 years in salesforce effectiveness, sales and distribution operations, service delivery model development, and supply chain performance. He is passionate about putting the customer at the center, delivery excellence, and people performance.
Dennis Santare | Managing Director, Maintenance and Repair Operations

As Managing Director, Maintenance and Repair Operations (MRO), Dennis brings over twenty years of operating and consulting experience in maintenance leadership and asset support to the MRO practice. He has served as a military aircraft operator and maintenance officer and spent nearly a decade leading sales and strategy teams as an executive for top-tier MRO companies. His clients consist of global transportation, logistics, and supply chain organizations in addition to his sector focus on Aviation and Defense. Dennis has an MBA from The Wharton School and has worked in Australia, ASEAN, Japan, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
John Harms | Managing Director, Digital Ready

As Managing Director, Americas, John is responsible for business development and client engagements and leads Proudfoot’s Digital Ready solution. He focuses on solutions to align people, process, and technology to maximize return on digital investments. John’s areas of digital expertise include an aligned business model, digital competitive advantage, development of digital business cases, user adoption, digital maturity assessment, driving digital exploration through crowdsourcing sessions, digital leadership and workforce talent, and continuous digital innovation. Seasoned executive with over 20 years of management consulting experience developing business, digital, operational, and people strategies, designing and implementing transformational solutions, and facilitating diverse groups to drive measurable results.

Andrew Garner | Managing Director, Industrials

Originally from New Zealand Andrew has supported industrial companies, spanning the full spectrum of industries and business challenges in most European Union countries, for the last 25 years. Much of Andrew’s work has been in helping Private Equity firms to drive cash generation and EBITDA improvement in their portfolio companies, a role he has done as both a consultant and a CEO. In his spare time Andrew is an avid aviation enthusiast both flying and building aircraft.

As Managing Director DACH and Central Europe, Peter oversees our client engagements in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. As Managing Director UK and Ireland, Duncan oversees our client engagements in the United Kingdom. Duncan has 20 years of consulting experience, predominantly focused on the design and delivery of results-oriented business transformation programs in the manufacturing, utilities, and energy sectors. As a result of his work with both pure-play implementation consulting firms, and Systems Integrators, he passionately believes that the delivery of quantifiable outcomes should be at the core of all consulting engagements, with sustainability delivered through behavior change.
Fabien Jurdant, Managing Director, EMEAA

As Managing Director of EMEAA, Fabien is responsible for business development and delivery of our projects across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. With 25 years of experience in international consulting, finance, and performance improvement, Fabien is an expert at assessing projects and organizations from an operational and financial perspective. His business experience and broad work history includes power generation, aerospace, automotive manufacturing, food & drink, chemicals, and utilities. He has led assignments covering a wide range of areas including Supply Chain, Maintenance, Purchasing, Negotiation, Sales & Sales Support, Planning & Scheduling, R&D, Lean Manufacturing, and Inventory Management. Fabien graduated from l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Strasbourg, has an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MS in International Audit from ESCP-Europe. Fabien is fluent in English, French, and Russian.

As Managing Director, Africa, Joel is responsible for the South African operation, business development, and client engagements in the Southern African region. He has more than 15 years consulting experience in strategy, operational implementation, and system integration across a broad spectrum of industries and disciplines. Joel is passionate about designing projects and finding solutions to meet the challenges that face operational implementation projects. Joel graduated with an MBA from Henley Management College and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an Elec. Eng. NHDP.

Having originally joined Proudfoot in 1991, St.John has been designing and delivering transformation programs for clients for 27 years. Initially joining as a project consultant and having worked extensively in Europe and Southern Africa in multiple management roles, for the last 13 years St. John has been based out of our Regional Office in Hong Kong. As a trusted advisor to numerous CEO’s of large multinationals he has been developing, repeating and expanding Proudfoot’s client base throughout Greater China and South East Asia. He is proud to lead our enthusiastic and passionate local Proudfoot teams who create great partnerships with our clients to deliver outstanding results. He is passionate about the core of our company DNA, the ability to help our partners learn how to identify Lost Time, and then recover it, whether this be used to reduce turnaround time of aircraft in heavy maintenance or to win back more face to face sales time in a Mercedes dealership. St.John served with British Army in the Corps of Royal Engineers, the Queen’s Gurkha Engineers and has an MBA from Henley The Management College.

Over the last six years his clients consisted of telecom, retail, and supply chain organizations in addition to his sector focus on Infrastructure. Francisco has an MBA from George Washington University and BS and MSc from PUC Rio.

Daniel holds a MBA from University of South Carolina Sumter and degree in Business from FGV São Paulo.
