“Engaged” employees, those with a greater sense of pride and feeling of appreciation in the workplace, are much more likely to go the extra mile. However, changing behaviors that lead to an emotionally invested workforce is not easy. Engaging every level of an organization requires a tremendous amount of time and resources that, based on past experience, most executives simply do not have.
